Fractured or Cracked Teeth

Endodontic treatment is often needed due to the presence of a fracture in a tooth. If the fracture extends into the pulp, endodontic treatment is needed. If the fracture extends onto the root surface, below bone, then the tooth is not savable and would need to be extracted.

Sometimes fractures will start at the apex of the tooth. Some of these teeth may be candidates for micro-surgical endodontic treatment.
